Classy Birthday Card

Here is another example as to how versatile this card style can be. I used similar style card with different color cardstock, ribbon and different greeting, different border punch. It is always fun to be creative but when you have back to back celebrations to celebrate sometimes it helps to keep your creativity to cardstock color choice! I made two of these for two friends that are just two days apart. Luckily they do  not live near each other so they cannot compare notes! BUT both were made with love and with the intention of brightening their day. They have always appreciated homemade cards from me. The following are materials used and directions. Materials:
Regal Rose and Melon Mambo Cardstock (105130 & 115320)
Black Classic Stampin' Pad (101179)
1 1/4" Striped Grograin Ribbon in Pretty in Pink (119775)
Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder (120175)

Curly Cute Stamp Set (120510)

I also added some bling next to the greeting.

I hope you get to try some of these cards. They are simply elegant and so very easy to make. Your friends will think you slaved over them for a long time!

I would love to hear from you. Please let me know which is your favorite card.

Thanks for stopping by and happy stampin'.

Another Easy Anniversary Card

Here is one more card you will love to make over and over again using the Big Shot Die Cutting Machine (113439). It is quite simple yet very, very elegant with very clean lines and the minimal of colors. This card was made for my son and daughter-in-law's tenth anniversary. My son called us immediately upon receiving this card. They both were so appreciative for the thought and effort that went into it and were awed by how beautiful the card was. I surely was not about to tell him how EASY it was!!

Materials:

Vintage Wallpaper Embossing Folder (120175)
Whisper White Cardstock (100730)
Elements of Style Stamp Set (120045)
1/8" Deep Burgundy Velvet Ribbon ( Or Rich Razzleberry 1/8 " Taffata Ribbon119259)
Happy Anniversary Stamp (Or Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set 115370)
Champagne Ink Pad (You could use Crumbcake 121030 - You will need to ink stamp and stamp on scrap first and then stamp on card so as to get a lighter image)
Snail Adhesive (104332)
Black Craft Stampin' Pad (102192)
Clear Stampin' Emboss Powder (109130)
Heat Tool (100005)

Use a 4" X 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White and place in embossing folder and run through the Big Shot. Stamp Greeting on one inch wide strip of Whisper White by 4" and sprinkle with clear emboss powder. Heat with heat gun til glossy then adhere to larger embossed piece about one quarter of the way up. Tie ribbon just above greeting and adhere to the back. Glue the whole thing centere onto the 5 1/ X 4 1/4 Whisper White Card Stock

After printing out the inside greeting on Whisper White, cut to 4 X 5 1/4 and adhere. Stamp the inside with elements of style stamp set. For the final touch use the floral part of the stamp set so that it is slightly off the right side of the envelope for that extra pizazz. Real easy, right? Go on and try it. I am sure you will love it. Would love to hear your comments.

Thanks for stopping by.

Easy Peasy Anniversary Card

One of the best things about Stampin' Up products is that they are so very easy to use and and create fabulous cards. I made this card for my brother's anniversary. It is simple but oh, so very elegant. If you ever need a card in a hurry this would be your go to card.

Materials:

Big Shot Die Cutting Machine (113439)
Elegant Lines Embossing Folder (119277)
Bashful Blue Cardstock (105120)
Night of Navy Cardstock (100867)
Whisper White (100730)
Bravo Burgundy CLassic Stampin' Pad (105214)
Deep Burgundy Ribbon (unknown)
Basic Rhinestones Jewel Accents (119246)

You will have lots of fun making this card. You can crank out lots in different colors and they will all look a bit different. You might want to use the Basic Pearls Jewel Accents  instead of the Rhinestones (119247) for a different look altogether.

A word about die cutting machines. I have three. That's right. You heard me right. Three. And I must say the The Big Shot is absolutely, hands down the best one out there. I cannot tell you how disappointed I was in the other two. The Big Shot gives you wonderful impressions on your embossing and very clean cuts on your dies. If you are really looking for a good quality machine then this is absolutely the one for you. I have no regrets but only wish that I had invested in this one FIRST!

Please do contact me for any questions. I will be happy to answer your questions.

John's Birthday Card

Hi Stampers,  This is the card I made for my Great-nephew's Birthday. He turned seven last week and he is a real cutie. He negotiated a Mohawk hairdo for his mom's request to wear a sweater vest for his family birthday party! Gotta love that little guy. He is still wanting to be a chef. He has wanted this ever since he was three when he had his own play kitchen, chef's hat and apron, too. He helps around the kitchen whenever he can. Well, family time is always precious and I cherish these times to be with my family. Everyone lives so far away and my nephew and his family live the closest. He and I are sort of a hub for all the holidays. Thanksgivings are at our house and Christmas Eve are at his. But as the family grows they outgrow my house! This Thanksgiving will be sparse and I must say, although I know we really cannot gather all those people indoors at my house for the holiday I know I will miss them all.  I usually have a family gathering in the summertime as we live on a lake and all the young-ones and the not-so-young-ones can have a leisurely day at the lake swimming and then back to the house for a barbecue. Fun times.

Sorry I got off track there. I got the idea for this card from my up-line from a stack of swapped cards she had. I am tempted to upload that photo tonight but I have had so much computer trouble that I am very hesitant to do so tonight. So, for now I will tell you what I used for this card and if my machine does not crash on me AGAIN I will try to post the original card I was inspired by:
Materials: 5 1/2 x8 1/2 light blue cardstock folded to make a 5 1/2 x 4 1/4 card (SU),
4 7/8 x 3 3/4 cherry cobbler (SU),
3 1/4 x 3 Yellow paper with subtle print (Unknown),
2 x 3 darker blue cardstock (SU),
small amount of whisper white, cherry cobbler and gray to make the gumball machine (SU),
small pieces of various colors for the gumballs.,one silver brad for the knob, ~4 1/2 inches of decorative ribbon and happy birthday stamp (unknown).
You will need a decorative border punch, a tabs punch, a 1 1/2 circle punch and an oval punch or some other type of cutting system for your circle and oval.
I used 1/4 inch punch for the gumballs but it was hard to get all those circles glued down on paper and not my hand. So, I would make them at least 3/8 inch. The red gumball stand was made with the tab punch and then cut so that it would look like a base of a gumball machine. The rest I think is pretty straight forward. Hope you enjoy this card and perhaps have an opportunity to make one. Like I said, it was not my idea and if I can find the name of the person who created it I will post it. It was really a lot of fun to make and rather easy. Thanks for stopping by.
