Male Birthday Card

Sorry for the delay in posting. I have been having some technical computer issues. (Sigh!) I am looking into using a different blogging site and will have link to it as soon as I can get it up and running. So, please do bear with me. Thanks for your understanding.

Sometimes it is tough to come up with a masculine card but I think that Elements of Style stamp set and the right paper is just the ticket. Here, of course, I used the Stampin' Up stamp set but I pulled the paper from my older stash. I used four out of the five stamps from Elements of Style and layered papers with one of the papers having a torn edge. All papers of all edges are sponged with Early Espresso. The card is a standard 5 1/2 X 4 1/4.

Materials used:

5 1/5 x 8 1/2 Crumbcake (SU) cardstock folded in half
2 1/2 x 4 Black cardstock (SU)
3 coordinating pieces of subtle print papers (Unknown)
Black Classic ink pad (SU)
Early Espresso Classic ink pad  (SU)
Champagne ink pad (Unknown)
Elements of Style Stamp Set (SU)
Dimensionals (SU)

The darker brown was stamped with the champagne color to create a subtle effect and then the bird was stamped in Early Espresso. The darker gray was stamped in black as was the "for you" which was stamped on the stripe paper and then cut out and attached with dimensionals.

Hope you try one of your own and let me know how it turns out. Please feel free to leave a comment. I do enjoy hearing from.

Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Stampin',
